The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established a number of employee safety standards, which require employers to develop and maintain written company programs(s). P&D's written programs are designed to be used as an outline to assist each company in establishing its own program to meet government requirements.
ASBESTOS PROGRAM - This program will address engineering
and work practice controls to be used for eliminating employee exposure during
the removal. 1910.1001 (f)(2)
CHEMICAL HYGIENE PLAN - The plan will provide procedures, equipment, personal protective equipment, and work practices that are capable of protecting employees from the health hazards presented by hazardous chemical. 1910.1450(e)(1)
CONFINED SPACE - This program will establish guidelines, practices and procedures to protect employees from the hazards encountered when working in confined space areas. 1910.146
D.O.T. DRIVERS QUALIFICATION PROGRAM - This package provides eleven (11) essential elements needed to establish minimum qualifications for those who drive a commercial motor vehicle. 49CFR 391.1(a)
EMERGENCY EVACUATION PLAN - The plan will outline steps to be taken to ensure the safe evacuation of every employee in the event of a fire or other emergencies. 1910.38(a)
EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN - This written plan is developed to handle anticipated emergencies prior to the commencement of an emergency response. 1910.120(q)(1)
EXPOSURE CONTROL PLAN - BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS - This plan determines who has occupational exposure, and then establish facility procedures to reduce workplace exposures. 1910.1030
FIRE PREVENTION PLAN - The plan will outline steps to prevent fires, and action to be taken in the event of a fire, including which employees would be involved in handling an incipient stage fire. 1910.38(d)
GENERAL SAFETY PROGRAM - This program will provide an outline to assist any facility in establishing a safety and health program.
HAZARD COMMUNICATION PROGRAM - A written program which
describes the means of identifying and informing employees of the risk of being
exposed to hazardous chemicals in the workplace. 1910.12000(e)(1)
HEARING CONSERVATION PROGRAM - A program designed
for employees whose noise exposure equals or exceeds an 8-hour time-weighted
average (TWA) of 85 decibels (dB). 1910.95
LOCKOUT/TAGOUT PROGRAM - This program is to ensure the control of hazardous energy sources, (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, etc.), for workers who service and maintain machines or equipment. 1910.147(e)(1)
MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE - A program outlining the need and frequency of medical examinations as required by OSHA's Chemical Hygiene Plan, Respiratory Protection Plan, and Emergency Response Program. 1910.120(f), 1910.134(b)(10) and 1910.1450(g)
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION PLAN - A written program which
outlines the selection, use, care and training of respirators for employees
required to wear them in the performance of their jobs. 1910.134(b)(1)
