SAMPLE OF ASBESTOS PROGRAM

SOME OF THE TOPICS COVERED IN THIS PROGRAM ARE:

I. SCOPE

(Company) has established and implemented an Asbestos program to reduce employee exposure to airborne concentration of asbestos to or below the time?weighted average (TWA) and to or below the excursion limit. Cultivation through engineering controls, work practices and protective equipment as outlined in this program.

(Company) shall select and provide at no cost to the employee air?purifying respirators equipped with a high?efficiency particulate air filter where airborne asbestos fiber concentrations do not exceed 2 f/cc otherwise, air?supplied, positive?pressure, full face piece respirators must be used. Respirators will not be loosened or removed in contaminated areas or where respirators are required. Disposable respirators or dust masks are not permitted to be used for asbestos work.
